This privacy policy explains how the Chrome extension „Camodoro – Camera Break Timer“ (hereinafter „Extension“) handles your data. Your privacy is important to us. The Extension has been designed to process as little personal data
as possible.

2. Purpose of the Extension

Camodoro is a Pomodoro-style break timer that uses face detection to determine whether you are present at your computer and reminds you to take a break after a configurable period of time.

3. Camera Access and Face Detection

The Extension requires access to your webcam to perform face detection. The following applies:

All processing of the camera feed takes place entirely locally on your device.
No images, videos, or biometric data are stored, recorded, or transmitted.
Face detection is used solely to detect your presence. No identification or association with a specific person takes place.
The detection model (face-api.js) is bundled within the Extension and is not loaded from external servers.
Camera access can be revoked at any time through your browser settings.

4. Extension Permissions

The Extension requires the following browser permissions:

Notifications: To remind you to take a break via system notifications.
Alarms: For internal timer functionality. The Extension does not have access to your browsing history, open tabs, files, location, microphone, or any other personal data.

5. Local Data Storage

The Extension stores only your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). No other data is stored persistently.

6. Data Sharing with Third Parties

No data is transmitted to third parties. The Extension does not communicate with any external servers, does not use analytics services (such as Google Analytics), does not employ tracking technologies, and does not use advertising
services.

7. Cookies

The Extension does not use cookies.

8. Your Rights

Since the Extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data, the typical data subject rights (access, deletion, rectification, etc.) under the GDPR do not apply in the context of this Extension. Should you have any
